Description

United States Army 109th Engineer Battalion Unit Crest (Allons Y Faire)

Criteria: The distinctive unit insignia, or unit crest, of the 109th Engineer Battalion was approved in its final form on 15 October 1968. The design is a red and white shield bearing a castle, a cactus and a fleur-de-lis. The castle, borrowed from the Spanish Campaign Medal, represents the unit’s service during the Philippine Insurrection. The cactus is symbolic of the unit’s Mexican Border duty and the fleur-de-lis shows service in France during World War I. The unit motto, “Allons Y Faire,” is printed across the bottom and translates as “Let’s Go Do It.”

Note: Sold in pairs (i.e., if you order a quantity of 1 you will receive two Unit Crests).
